Lakewood crime blotter: Dance money missing

Dance money missing. On March 7, a campus security guard at Colorado Christian University, 135 S. Campus Drive, called Lakewood police to report that $1,932 had been stolen from the student activities office. The security officer told police that the money had been the profit from a dance held in February and had been in an unlocked drawer in an office. There were no suspects.

Definitely her business. A woman called police March 7 to report that she witnessed a man key her car while it was parked in the 100 block of South Everett Street. When she asked the suspect what he was doing near her car, he replied “none of your business,” and proceeded to walk around the vehicle. One of the residents in the home noted a former roommate’s boyfriend matched the victim’s description of the suspect.

No ticket. On March 8, a man was arrested after failing to pay a fare and shouting obscenities at an officer at the Lamar Station, 6363 W. 13th Ave. The suspect was asked for a fare and couldn’t provide one, saying he needed to get to the liquor store to buy beer. After exiting at the next stop, the suspect began shouting lewd comments at the officer and passersby. He was transported to the county jail and booked on past warrants and an obscenities charge.

Undercover police take down massage parlor. Police performed an undercover operation and discovered prostitution practices at Pamper Me Massage, 1990 S. Garrison St. The undercover officer went for a massage with surveillance equipment. The massage therapist was performing uncharacteristic massage and then offered to massage the officer’s groin area. When she touched the area, she was taken out of the room and arrested.
