Huge David Bowie memorial is scrapped after organisers fail to raise money needed

The plans to create an iconic lightning bolt memorial for David Bowie in Brixton has been shelved.

A crowdfunding campaign failed to reach its target despite gaining £50,000 in donations in four weeks.

The lightning bold design, called the ZiggyZag, had been due to stand at 30ft tall in the middle of Brixton but its target was £900,000 for the blue and red statue.
